We are a warm and friendly small, southern town which offers a great place to live and grow. Our municipality of about 2,500 people has a small town atmosphere within reach of big city amenities as we are 10 miles from Monroe, NC and 35 miles from Charlotte, NC via HWY 74 with the new Monroe Expressway travel to Charlotte is streamlined. Also, by virtue of our location in the piedmont, we are abou

t 3 hours from either the Great Smokey Mountains to the west or the wonderful beaches of North Carolina to the east.

The Marshville Police Department was proud to partner with students at Forest Hills High School this week for Prom 2026!

With more than 200 Juniors and Seniors in attendance, Marshville Police officers distributed over 200 Prom Safety Bags to help encourage students to make safe and responsible choices during prom season.

Chief Steven Fultz spoke with students about the importance of decisions, consequences, and protecting not only themselves, but others on the road. The message was simple and powerful: Choose Sober, Avoid the Pullover.

As part of the Town’s 2025–2026 Alcohol Education Campaign, we are committed to promoting safety, awareness, and positive choices within our community.

We hope every student has a safe, memorable, and enjoyable prom season! πŸ’™
