The Webster County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a dedicated and community-minded School Resource Officer (SRO) to serve within Marshfield R-1 Schools. This position offers a unique opportunity to not only protect our schools, but to positively impact the lives of students as a mentor, leader, and role model.
As an SRO, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe learning environment while building meaningful relationships that help shape the future of our community.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide law enforcement services to assigned school(s)
• Promote school safety and crime prevention
• Serve as a mentor and positive role model for students
• Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
• Respond to incidents and emergencies as needed
• Support educational programs related to safety and law awareness
Minimum Qualifications
• Missouri POST-certified law enforcement officer
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Genuine interest in working with youth and school communities
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and professionalism
