Mrs. Hernandez’s Dual Language class had a blast making a Chip Salad! Students each brought a bag of chips to share and combined them into giant bowls for a fun classroom treat. It was a great way to celebrate and enjoy their last few days together as a class. As part of the activity, students also practiced their Spanish speaking skills by introducing themselves and sharing what they brought to contribute, making it a fun and engaging way to build confidence in their Spanish communication skills while celebrating and learning together. 🌟

Today is a truly special day. As the school year wraps up, we aren't just celebrating the successes of a single week—we are shining a massive spotlight on the incredible students who have been shining examples for the entire school year! 🌟

These outstanding kids didn't just follow the CARES Way on the good days; they embraced it every single day, in every classroom, hallway, and playground. They are the true definition of leaders, showing our entire community what consistency, integrity, and heart look like in action.

☀️ Lunch on the Lawn success! ☀️

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect spring day for our Lunch on the Lawn! The weather was absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious, and the company was even better.

It was so wonderful to see our campus packed with so many families taking a break to share some quality time, laughs, and good food with their kids. Thank you to everyone who came out and made today so special! ❤️

🚜 High School Mentors & Hands-On Agriculture!

For this week's What’s Up Wednesday, we are highlighting a fantastic collaboration with Marshalltown High School's FFA program! 🌟

MHS FFA students visited our classrooms to share their passion for agriculture. They brought along some incredible lessons about sheep, wool production, and what leadership looks like in FFA. We are so grateful to the MHS FFA members for their time, energy, and awesome teaching skills. Our students haven't stopped talking about it!

Can you believe we have almost reached the end of the 2025/2026 school year? What a phenomenal journey it has been! We are officially closing out our CARES Kid of the Week announcements, and we are saving some of the absolute best for last.
