Welcome 2026 , we are here at the DeerDen ready to take care of your deer hunting needs. As youth season and black powder begins we will be ready to receive your kill let us remind you to properly tag your deer before transporting it.Our skinners and staff are on site to help assist you with your harvest.We hope you have a safe and blessed hunting season.

“Doe Days” have come to an end! We hope you got the chance to use all of your anterlerless tags!

Because the general season is finished and we are now in antlered only (unless with an MLD) our hours are changing! Our updated hours are as follows.

Sun: After Church
Mon: 8-6:00
Tues: CLOSED
Wed: 8-6:00
Thur: 8-6:00
Fri: 8-6:00
Sat: 8-6:00

We will be CLOSED on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.

A reminder:
Game brought before 3 pm Monday-Friday MUST be field dressed. After 3pm and on weekends they can be whole.

When bringing a cooler please remember:
• If your drain plug isn’t attached, take it with you.
• Drain all water off meat.
• Keep ice on meat.
• DO NOT put the head in the cooler with the meat.

When skinning and field dressing take extra care to keep your meat from getting mud, grass, organic matter on it. The cleaner the meat the more we can use! We don’t put grass and other foreign objects in your grind. So maximize the amount of meat you can get by cleaning it well!

We will be taking your donations of deer to be processed for Mission Marshall Food Bank; there is no cost to the hunter but must be a legally tagged animal. Matthew 25:35 " for I was hungry and you gave Me food; "

We are officially open and taking wild game!

Archery Only Sept. 27 - Oct. 31, 2025
General Season Nov. 1, 2025 - Jan. 4, 2026
Antlerless Deer Nov. 1-30, antlerless by hunting license tag or MLDP tag;
Dec. 1-Jan. 4, antlerless by MLDP only
Early Youth-Only Season Oct. 24 - 26, 2025
Late Youth-Only Season Jan. 5 - 18, 2026
Muzzleloader Jan. 5 - 18, 2026

Yes! We do take wild hogs!
We DO NOT take any type of poultry/fowl.

We encourage you to read up on the rules and regulations! And as always happy hunting!!

Just hopping on to give an update.
We are no longer at capacity!! We are officially taking wild game again!
Our hours are as follows
Mon: 8-6
Tue: Closed
Wed: 8-6
Thur: 8-6
Fri: 8-6
Sat: 8-6
Sun: 8-6

We hope to see you soon!

We are open and accepting deer from 7am-7pm. 7days a week!

Good morning and Happy Opening day!
We are at the den and ready to kick off this deer season!

When y’all come see us we ask that you help us cut down on traffic congestion, confusion, and help us make your trip to us as efficient as possible.

We ask that you please have your hunting license AND the tag with you before coming in the office. Please be sure to have a number from us before unloading your deer so that we will have no confusion.

To cut back on traffic congestion this year we ask that you follow these steps:
1- ENTER in the driveway to the left of Fugler’s grocery
2- Exit your vehicle at the yellow line, go to the office to handle paperwork and get your number tag
3- Return to your vehicle and wait for your turn to pull up to unloading dock
4- Unload deer with number tag firmly clipped in ear or on leg
5- EXIT in the driveway beside The Deer Den.

We have attached a picture for further clarification.
