After an eventful evening, Walnut Fire Department apparatus and personnel have returned to Station 17. We are extremely thankful for our amazing group of volunteers, who worked tirelessly in our Walnut Community, as well as surrounding fire districts.
For those living close to the French Broad River, please remain vigilant, as water levels may continue to rise. Walnut Fire Department water rescue crews are prepared to respond countywide, as always, should the need arise.
We are extremely grateful for all of you, the members of our Walnut Community, that obeyed all watches and warnings issued today. Please keep our Madison County residents affected by this storm in your thoughts and prayers. We understand that difficult days like this can bring back bad memories of Hurricane Helene, however, let's strive to be the resilient county that built back in the wake of Helene!
