Just sent an email to those that have provided their email to the PWSD3 system. Thank you for completing the survey if you have already done so. Why is there a "Correction" on my bill that could be up to $17 but could be a low as $.10. Signup information for
EyeOnWater to set up alerts on your accounts so you know when water is going through your meter for 24. Another sign up for RAVE Alerts which is Saline County's Emergency Management system to provide us with alerts about weather and on occasion, water issues.

I try to avoid making mistakes. However, in January 2023, I left $10 in the billing for 2,000 - $3,000 gallons of water use. The Board had voted it to be a $9 charge. I discovered the error at the end of May and corrected it, so the bills that were sent in June were correct.

What this means is that some accounts were charged up to $1 extra dollar for 17 months. To correct this mistake, if you used over 2,000, you have CORRECTION listed on your bill and the amount you were overcharged.

Some bills show $17, which is the full amount that was overcharged and deposited. Some accounts show $.10, which is also what was overcharged and deposited.

I appreciate the forgiveness so many have already shown when I told them about the CORRECTION on their bills. I am sorry for this mistake and for any issues it may have caused.

Bills should go out today or tomorrow.
