This summer, students across Swift, Murray, and Nobles Counties gained real-world experience throuh local Summer Internship Programs.

From nursing to medical labs to finance, humban services, automotive technology, dentistry, local government, education, and communications, interns had the opportunity to put their education into practice, explore career paths, and learn from professionals in their communities.

Students gained valuable skills and connections, while local employers had the opportunity to mentor and invest in emerging talent.

💬 One intern shared, “This internship has taught me so much about connection, patience, and the importance of making everyone feel valued.”

Another said, “The internship has been very helpful because I have gained hands-on experience and developed professional skills that I will use in my future career.”

This summer, we matched 3 local students with Murray County Minnesota businesses through our Summer Internship Program. These internships were made possible through the continued support of the Murray County Commissioners.

On August 4, we celebrated another successful summer at our Murray County Summer Internship Program Appreciation Event, recognizing the students and employer partners who made this program a success.

Each intern gained valuable hands-on experience, built professional connections, and explored potential career paths while working alongside local professionals. We are proud to continue creating opportunities that help students prepare for their future while strengthening our local workforce.

This summer, we matched 14 local students with Nobles County businesses through our summer internship program. These internships were fully funded by the support of our Nobles County Commissioners.

Each student had the opportunity to intern at a local business, gain real-world experience, build professional connections, and get valuable insight into what their future career could look like. This is our 4th year offering this program, and we are proud to continue creating these opportunities for local students.
