Hello out there. Thanks for liking our page. The installation of Volf Roitman's Madi Wall in Marshall, Texas was completed in December, 2009. Barney Canson captured the 40-day project in this two-minute time lapse video, with Barney's original musical score - delightful.

Have you noticed? The Madi Wall is looking good again. Some pieces that got damaged have been restored, and the corner of Lafayette & Houston is once again a splendid sight.

With great sadness, we must announce that artist Volf Roitman, creator of the Madi Wall, suffered a stroke last week and died yesterday, Sunday, April 25, 2010. We send our love and deepest condolences to his wife Shelley and his family. We all loved Volfie - he will be greatly missed! And his Madi Wall will be a lasting monument to his joy, humor, and brilliance.

You did a great job, Blair. The Madi Wall has been subjected to some pretty serious wind since it went up and everything has performed the way Volf and Curtis intended.

Below are links to the two videos that were shown Friday night at the Michelson Museum in Marshall, at a reception in honor of Volf and Shelley Roitman. Volf Roitman created the Madi Art Wall now permanently installed in Marshall, Texas -- a new and exciting landmark for this city that shows the openness and diversity that is a part of the cultural landscape there.
