📃 Newspaper and magazines

🦟Update on Mosquitos & Ticks from the Health Department

As warmer weather arrives, the Calhoun County Public Health Department is reminding residents to take precautions against ticks and mosquitoes while spending time outdoors. Simple steps like using insect repellent, wearing long sleeves and pants, and checking pets and clothing after being outside can help reduce the risk of tick-borne illness. Kimball Pines Park is a great spot to get outdoors and explore. Try the 18-hole disc golf course, take a walk on the new paved trail and portion of North Country Trail, or play some corn hole near the ADA-accessible pavilion. Trails run through the southern part of the park alongside woods, ponds, and a creek that connects to the Kalamazoo River. Disc golf course map and Park Guide are available at calhouncountymi.gov/parks.
