The Town of Mars Hill has partnered with First Bank to host a free Fraud Prevention Workshop for the members of our community at the Mars Hill Town Hall today, Wednesday, September 2nd at noon. If you can’t make it today, there will be another opportunity next Tuesday, September 8that 4:00. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about how to avoid common scams and fraud and available community resources.

Madison County 911 service has been restored.

Mars Hill ALERT: Due to the severe weather this evening, please be aware that Madison County 911 service is experiencing an outage. At this time it appears other telephone lines are also not functioning properly in all areas. If you have a 911 emergency, please attempt to come in person to the Mars Hill Fire Department facility located at 56 North Main Street, Mars Hill. The fire department will be staffed by trained first responders until normal 911 service is restored. At this time it appears other telephone lines are also not functioning properly in all areas. When 911 service is restored, a follow-up communication will be sent.

Town public works staff are also on duty to evaluate town infrastructure, streets and community damage in the Town of Mars Hill. Any issues noted will be addressed in order of severity as quickly as possible.

Please take care of yourself and remain in a safe place until conditions improve. Thank you for your attention!
