Congratulations to Elizabeth Young, a member of the GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman’s Club on being inducted as the new Director of Junior Clubs for GFWC Massachusetts! We are so proud of Elizabeth and all she has accomplished. Her dedication, leadership, and commitment to serving others continue to make a positive impact in our community and throughout Massachusetts. Introducing the GFWC Massachusetts Director of Junior Clubs, Elizabeth C. Young
Her BIO:
In 2004 I was looking for an organization that would allow me to connect with women within Marlborough. I read about the club in the local newspaper and decided to attend a meeting on my own. Flash forward, I have been a member of the GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman’s Club since fall of that year. I have held the positions of Ways and Means Chair several times, Financial Advisor, Treasurer, VP, and President. I have been able to balance my career at in higher education working with undergraduates.
As a mother to three, I enjoy spending time with my family, particularly when it comes to playing board games or running around outside. When not hanging with the family or watching movies, you will find me reading anything I can get my hands on, though I do enjoy satire and autobiographies most of all. On the rare chance that the stars align just right, you can find me at the beach as I am a sun warrior at heart.
I am excited to take on this challenge as the Director of Junior Membership and I am looking forward to connecting with many of the club women across the state and region.
