September is Library Card Sign-UIp Month! It’s an initiative where libraries nationwide encourage people of all ages to sign up for a library card. Libraries especially highlight the importance of children and teens having their own library card so they can discover new books, strengthen their literacy skills, and develop a lifelong love of reading and their community. To celebrate this year, every kid/teen who signs up for their own library card during September will be entered into a special raffle with prizes including donations from some fantastic local businesses! Kids and teens who already have library cards can enter by showing their own physical card to a staff member at the circulation desk. One entry per person. Lost your library card? No problem! Replacements are free during September. Winners will be announced at the beginning of October.

Story times will resume this month on September 23rd at the Marlboro Free Library in our renovated community room! Toddler story times are now on Wednesdays AND Fridays, and baby and preschool story times will be on Thursdays. We hope to see you there!
