On Saturday, August 29th, several staff members of the Avoyelles District Attorney’s Office, and their families, will be volunteering to assist those in our immediate area who are physically unable to clean up debris in their yards that is there due to Hurricane Laura. Please comment or message with your address, phone number and, if possible, a picture of what you are needing assistance with (so we will know if equipment, such a chainsaw, is needed).

The office will be closed on Thursday, August 27th, due to safety concerns related to travel during Hurricane Laura. On Friday morning a determination will be made as to whether or not the office reopens for Friday. Please call 253-6587 with any questions. Stay safe!
