Attention Marissa Residents:

Ameren has subcontracted Nelson Tree Service to trim trees and vegetation around powerlines in the rights-of-ways. This work may include aerial or manual trimming, removal of vegetation, mowing, application of environmentally-safe herbicides, and inspections as necessary.

Customers and property owners may appeal the particular vegetation work planned on their property by:
1) calling the Ameren toll free number at 1-800-232-2477, reference code TMT
2) visiting www.ameren.com/transmission, reference code TMT-Contact Us
3) contact the Illinois Commerce Commission Consumer Services division at 1-800-524-0795

Nelson Tree service is in the Marissa area as of Tuesday, May 26, 2026 and are expected to remain in the area for up to 6 weeks.

Ameren Transmission is dedicated to developing transmission infrastructure investments throughout the nation.
