Vincent brings more than 20 years of experience in banking, financial regulation, risk management, and public service. He has served as a bank examiner with both the FDIC and Federal Reserve, is a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager, works as a bank officer, and teaches risk management and business law. His campaign is focused on improving transparency and accountability in the Secretary of State’s Office, protecting legitimate nonprofits from deceptive fundraising practices, and making it easier for small businesses and community organizations to access state services.

A native of Clarendon County, DeShawn is a food and agriculture policy advocate, cooperative business leader, and beginning farmer with deep roots in South Carolina agriculture. The grandson of farmworkers and a fourth-generation farmer, he has served as a National FFA Officer and worked on agricultural policy in the U.S. House, U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, USDA, and advocacy organizations. His campaign is focused on strengthening family farms, expanding local food systems, protecting agricultural land, and building an agricultural economy that works for both producers and South Carolina families.
