Extreme Fire Danger Through the Weekend

Officials are urging all residents to remain vigilant as extreme fire danger conditions are expected today through the weekend. Low humidity, gusty winds, and ongoing severe drought conditions have created an environment where fires can start easily and spread rapidly.

A burn ban remains in effect, and all outdoor burning is strictly prohibited. Anyone found in violation of the burn ban will receive a citation.

Residents are reminded to report any fires immediately by dialing 911.

Emergency officials appreciate the community’s cooperation in helping prevent wildfires and protecting lives and property.

Last evening PG Fire & Rescue hosted our annual fish fry for our retired and former members. This is always a great evening as we get to talk to some of the folks who started the fire department. We are missing many who have passed and we missed some who could not be there last night. Thank you to those retired and former and current members who were able to attend.

A statewide burn ban remains in effect. Outdoor burning is strictly prohibited at this time due to ongoing dry conditions.

No measurable rainfall is expected within the next seven days, increasing the risk of wildfires across the area.

Any outdoor fires should be reported immediately by calling 911.
