At Vernon Middle School we also want to foster an environment in which students and staff strive to meet The Marion Way. Respect, Responsibility, and Integrity are our way of life here at Vernon Middle School and we work hard to create an environment where all individuals respect themselves, respect others and respect their school. We are doing great things every day and continue to challenge ourselves to do even better. On Friday, FMI, VMS, and MHS staff took part in an Apple Professional Learning training to prepare for our students receiving iPads as their new student devices. We will roll out 2,200 devices across the district next week. We’re excited to get these devices into the hands of our students and provide new opportunities for learning and collaboration!

VMS 5th grade students had their Related Arts and PE award ceremony on the last day of school! They have worked hard throughout the year and we are very proud of them! A special shout out to Carter S. who received two prestigious awards: Carter earned 108 on the PACER Test and became a member of the 100 Club AND he ran the mile in 5:51 to become a member of the Super 6 Club! Congratulations to all students and award winners!
