Monday – Thursday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday – Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Closed Sunday Marion Carnegie Library is a public library with a collection of more than 70,000 items; 8,000 registered borrowers and more than 120,000 visitors each year. The library has an automated circulation system as well as multi-media workstations and wi-fi Internet capability. There is a public meeting room with computer workstations and a second smaller meeting room. Both rooms have a projection unit and screen.

You can donate anytime, but you can come visit Marion Carnegie Library on September 25 and have a little fun at the same time!

Imagine the evening news on September 25 leading with the Imagination Library buried in $9.25 donations.

That would be a first. Most of what that program does never makes a headline. A book shows up in a mailbox in some county nobody has heard of, a kid tears open the envelope, and nobody films it.

Dolly started it in 1995 for the children in Sevier County because her daddy never learned to read. Thirty years later, it mails a book a month to kids in five countries, and it still runs on donations.

A reporter standing outside the Dollywood Foundation, saying the donations would not stop coming, would be the only headline she ever wanted.

There's still time to get a library card and use it for fun discounts at our local community partners! Visit the library...
