Thank you to everyone who donated time, money, or goods!

Throughout life I have heard the saying “southern hospitality” without a true sense of what that really meant.

A lot of attention lately weather-wise has been on the numerous wildfires across Western North Carolina and the smoke that is impacting the region.

Well, we have some encouraging news as confidence is growing in the potential for some rainfall over the next 7 days. It won’t be a drought busting event by any means but possibly enough to assist crews on the front line.

There is a slight chance of showers late tonight but we’re focusing on early next week as a trough along the Mississippi River Valley may finally scoop up Gulf moisture and bring it in our direction.

We’ll keep an eye on it and update the forecast daily.
