We have settled in at Virginia Tech and are wrapping up the first day of the 104th Virginia 4-H Congress! This week is one of our favorite events of the year, and we are excited to have 16 Smyth County delegates representing our county. We look forward to a week filled with leadership, learning, service, and fun as they connect with 4-H members from across Virginia. 🍀💚☘️

Each year at camp, we celebrate with our candlelight ceremony to reflect on our week and recognize our Cabin Clover Point winners! This year, the Red Cabin finished with the most Clover Points and got to celebrate by making an ice cream sundae on Mr. Bailey’s head! 🍀🍨🎉

Just a couple more 4-H Camp posts left from this year’s camp! We are all packed up, and I’m sure there are lots of sleepy campers recovering from an amazing week. Thank you to all of our parents, volunteers, teens, adult leaders, and center staff who helped make this camp a success. We couldn’t do it without you! 🍀🏕️📖

Day 2 is in the books, and Tiki Night was a hit! Classes are off to a great start with campers learning to use miter saws, practicing color guard, cooking over an open fire, and much more. We also had a few Ninja Turtles and Smurfs roaming around!! 🌺🥷🐢💙

We have not forgot about our feathery friends! Approximately 30 days ago, we collected eggs from all over the county and even outside the county lines! Once again, we are extremely thankful for the support of this program, and today we celebrated our diddles!

Students all over the county got to experience embryology and arriving at school daily to spend the day learning with their feathery friends!!🍀🐣
