The show has run for over 77 years on July 4th weekend as a tradition and is Family friendly. Welcome to the Marion Horse Show ! The Marion Horse Show was founded in 1947 by Charles R. Washburn as a fund raiser for local youth groups. The towns of Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester, the Tri-Towns, pool resources for their 4th of July festivities and parade. Tucked away down a peaceful lane at the
end of the parade route, the show rings at Washburn Memorial Park come alive each year to host the Marion Horse Show. Local equestrians in neighboring counties come to show and enjoy the unique experience of the Marion Horse Show in Hunt Seat, Western, Saddle Seat, Miniature Horse, Driving & Trail, for all ages. The main ring, Arne Arena, built into the hillside and surrounded by a natural stone wall, offers a wonderful view to spectators and a chance for exhibitors to really show off before an appreciative audience. For over 73 years, many farms and local families have made the Marion Horse Show their 4th of July tradition. We look forward to seeing them every year and also to welcome new exhibitors & spectators. This year, pack your lawn chair and a picnic basket or enjoy something from the food truck, Clark's Catering. Load up the trailer and make it your tradition as well ! The next Show will be held on day July 3rd, 2022
Happy Showing, Thank you for coming and enjoy your day ! The Marion Horse Show Committee
