ASLANe's Mission (formerly The People's Charity Clinic) is a non-profit 501(c)3. ASLANe's Mission is dedicated to the Assertive Social re-integration of those individuals living in homelessness in A Loving And Nurturing environment (ASLANe). Through aggressive advocacy, social welfare work, and sharing the LOVE of Christ, we build relationships that will make real life changes. In 2019, Aslane's M

ission opened Aslane's Hope, A women and children's shelter. Aslane's Hope, is geared at women with children, women that are pregnant, women that are displaced. We cut the excuses that are holding them in the situation they are in and give each lady an opportunity to move forward in life, through education, life and job skills, counseling and tutoring. ASLANe'S Mission is supported through generous donations to ASLANe'S Mission.

I have 3 young ladies moving to housing. We are so excited for them. One of them has worked hard, so hard she does not qualify for food stamps or assistance getting into her place. We have found one reasonable, but she needs help with deposits. The other 2 will have assistance. We can help with basic needs but do not have the money for financial assistance. If you are lead to help this sweet young lady, She has worked hard to get to this point. and made her first adult purchase. A vehicle and Insurance.

Emergency need: I have a young lady with 2 kids that are housed but in need today. She called this morning, in a mental health crisis and need help. Her lights and water are about to be turned off at noon today and she has no food. I will go by the Baptist Crisis Center and get her some food to last until her food stamps are renewed but we need the financial help for lights and water. She does have her rent paid up until June. She tries so hard to work, but because of her anxiety and depression, she has struggled. Please consider helping this young lady. She tries so hard. She does not do drugs, her problems is because she is overwhelmed and it has put her mental health in bad place. TY.

I know some are wondering what is going on with ASLANe'S Mission and where do we stand. At the present I can tell you is we are in God's hands and watching his amazing works in our world. On March 2, I met with several pastors and interested parties about the future of ASLANe'S Mission. We had until 8 am March 3 to come up with $15000 or the Shelter would be sold. After prayer and conversation, it was placed completely in GOD's hands. If we were meant to stay in the house we are currently in one of 3 things would happen: The money would be in the bank the next morning, the person we are buying the house from would have a change of heart or noone would show up to buy the house. If the house sold the next day, we would know this is not the place we needed to be and God had better plans for us. Thursday, I woke up and did not have $15,000 in the bank but was at peace because I felt God would provide an answer. It was not until Monday that I heard from the financier who said that NO ONE SHOWED UP to buy the house so we had another month. She said that she still would run it in the papers until we came up with the money. The most exciting part is that God has called someone to help build ASLANe'S Mission Business wise. She is working dilengently on getting a good solid Board of Directors that are Business leaders and Pastors in our community that know what they are doing. This will free me up to care for my ladies and help them move forward in life. Over the next few weeks, I will go into more details of who they are and our plans for moving forward.
At this time, we still have not come up with the money and because we are in another month, we need to come up with $18,500 before April 12. So far this month, we have only received enough donations to cover the insurance and some of our utilities. We have 9 ladies and 1 child and expecting a mother with 2 kids and a pregnant mom in any day. There is never a shortage of ladies needing us. We expect several to go into housing in the next few weeks and 1 go into the Nursing Home. If she had not been able to come here, she would have been on the streets. I am so thankful that we found this large of a home, even though it has some issues and it is expensive, it serves an amazing purpose on providing a safe place to help ladies leave their past behind them and work on their future. What an amazing God we serve. Need a garden spot plowed up, perfer raised beds but would like to plant enough to have fresh vegetables and can some ie, peas, beans, tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic, herbs, cucumbers, radish, carrots and corn.

Please continue to pray for ASLANe'S Mission. Today is the day we see if we are going to be able to keep the shelter or not. At this point we have not come up with all the money and the lady we are buying the house has no desire to "help those homeless people". I believe in the power of prayer, I believe God has not laid it on my heart that it is over. I believe we truly change lives. Stand in prayer with me over this situation. ASLANe'S Mission serves a need in this community like no other agency. It begins with prayer and decernment, opening our arms to a young lady or family and begin by showing the LOVE OF CHRIST. Letting them know that there future is not defined by their past, but what they will do with their life moving forward. This is a small snipit of an email I just received.

"I'm homeless and pregnant. I have no car or job but I want so badly to get all I need but in this economy and being pregnant I have no way to make enough of anything to pay for or get the stuff I need. I have been moving place to place since a short while after covid 19 and each place was the same not mine or permanent but now I am out on the streets again and have no family really to give me a place to lay my head and get myself together. I'm scared and fighting hard not to give up because I want my baby and I want a good life for it. I think im about 4 months or somewhere close to that and have no clue where to even begin to get all the things we will need to survive and be stable. "

We are struggling. As we are trying to establish a solid Board of Directors, Secure our future through fundraising and increased community involvement , we continue to be pressured to move because we have not yet come up with all the funds needed to prevent the sale. Given another month I believe in my heart everything will be good. I have been told it would not be so hard to do God's work if he was in it. I believe with my whole heart because We are doing what God is telling us to do without questioning, The devil will try anything to destroy it.
Tonight I prayed about this young lady ànd asked God to help her. Again, even as bad as we are struggling, He told me he sent her to me to love and help.

Many may not understand, but I know these decisions are not up to me and I answer to the one who is in control. So tonight, I command the devil to get out of our way, I ask for your prayers and strength and your financial help. We have 6 days to secure our shelter. Pray for our upcoming new Board and meeting next week that God will work within their heart and give them discernment on how we can be sustainable. We are not only saving a mom, we are making generational changes. Alone we will fail. Together we change lives.
