The Marion Friends of the Smyth County Public Library invite you to this exclusive behind-the-scenes event on Thursday, Sept 10th (6-8 PM) which will feature a silent auction you won't want to miss showcasing handcrafted items from talented local artisans. Come ready to bid on:

🧵 Stunning Quilts (including the beautiful quilt pictured, lovingly donated by the family of Sylvia Richardson)
🏺 Unique Pottery, Original Artwork & Woodworking ...and so much more!

Between placing your bids, you can explore what happens behind the curtain at the library, get help with Libby & Hoopla, discover how you can hop on the Mahjongg craze, enjoy refreshments, socialize with fellow book lovers, and browse lots of books. UPDATE: This class is full; however, you can email [email protected] to be added to the waitlist or the callback list if we add an encore class. Discover Kinusaiga (pronounced KEE-NEW-SIGH-GA), a modern Japanese technique often called “quilt-less quilting.” Developed in the 80s, this “no-sew” art form involves tucking fabric scraps into grooved foam boards to create mosaic-like images.
