This month we are proud to spotlight our community partner, the Marion City Fire Department.

From emergency response and fire prevention to EMS services and public safety education, these dedicated professionals work every day to protect and serve our community. Marion Public Health is grateful to work alongside Marion City Fire on inspections and safety efforts involving restaurants, housing, and food trucks — helping ensure the places our community lives, eats, and plays remain safe and healthy for everyone.

Marion Fire Fighters from 3 crew training on pumps, water movement, and master streams earlier today.

Marion Fire Fighters are on scene with Ladder 25 for a structure fire, providing mutual aid to Bucyrus Fire Department. The fire is occurring at Ohio Poly Tech, on the south side of Bucyrus. Several other mutual aid fire departments are on scene assisting. State Route 98 is closed in this area.

Marion Fire Fighters responded to the 400 block of Ballentine Ave this morning for a structure fire. Auto aid from Marion Township Fire Department was sent at time of call. One of the occupants suffered injuries and was transported to MGH. Unfortunately the occupants lost several dogs in the fire. Fire is under investigation.
