Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center (WKRBC) is the sole non-profit supplier for 11 regional medical facilities—including Crittenden Health System. The center needs more than 16,000 pints annually to meet local demands.

🩸FREE soda floats, snacks, and a T-shirt!

🩸takes 15-30 min.

🩸just one pint donated can save up to 3 lives

🩸must be 17 years old (16 with a parent) and a minimum of 110lbs

🩸air ambulances (including us at AEL120) rely on blood products donated by you for patients in our aircraft! We give it emergently for both trauma + medical patients.

🩸today’s donations will also include a $5 per blood donation to the family of Deputy Rick Coyle who tragically lost his life serving here in Crittenden Co.

Flight Paramedic Abby is out teaching an LZ class today!

Thank you to Rural Pope County Fire Department and Pope County EMS for having us out for an LZ class today!

Why have an LZ class???

This class allows our crews to go over the safety standards of working around helicopters and setting up a safe landing zone for our aircraft. Then once the discussion/classroom portion is done, we bring the helicopter and get hands on learning!!! Which is always the fun part!!! Not to mention it gives our crews a chance to slow down and talk to first responders. It’s an opportunity to ask and answer questions as well as discuss the best options for your specific service area. We love the opportunity to actually get to talk to you and let you know how amazing you have been doing!!! And even sneak a few pics with the aircraft cause it’s the coolest 💁🏽‍♀️😎
