Pleasant Township Fire Department Proudly serving the residents of Pleasant Township providing full-time Fire, EMS, and Rescue services in Marion, Ohio.

We are now staffed with 4 Firefighter/ EMT from 7:00am to 7:00pm and 2 from 7:00pm to 7:00 am. We are also running a full ALS squad (ambulance). What this means for the community is that you will longer receive a bill for being transported to the hospital.

PTFD crews were dispatched today at 0937 hours to 4535 Smeltzer Rd. following reports of the church steeple being struck by lightning and smoke visible from the structure. Units arrived on scene within four minutes and observed structural damage to the steeple along with active smoke conditions. Crews located embers and a small fire within the steeple. The fire was quickly extinguished, preventing further extension or damage to other areas of the church. No injuries were reported. THANK YOU to our neighboring departments for assistance.
