This is just one way that the Marion Township Trustees voted to "keep it local" for our community. Furniture will be purchased from the Nicholl's Furniture store on S. Prospect Street. We were lucky to have Trustee Creasap procure funding donations from the American Legion Post 584 which will save our Township taxpayers monies for other things. Thank you Ben Creasap!

Marion Township would like to thank American Legion Post 584 for their generous donation. Both fire stations will get new furniture for the crews.

Attention: Trick or Treating in Marion Township will be held on Friday, October 31st from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. This is the same date & times that the City of Marion in participating. Turn your porch light on so the children know where to stop for candy!

Townships from throughout Ohio are in attendance, taking part in workshops designed to improve Township operations, address the challenges posed by problem properties, and eradicate illegal dumping. The Marion Township Zoning Code does not permit structures built out of old pallets, tarps & “lean-to’s in front yards or side yards of residential properties. Take pride in your property & keep it cleaned up. You don’t want to get yourself on our “Nuisance List” & end up in court. Thank you to all of our good neighbors who take care of things.

Attention Marion Township residents: As you have heard, electric prices are predicted to rise in June (July bill). If you are NOT enrolled in our Marion Township Electric Aggregation program (AEP / First Energy), you will want to be as soon as possible. We currently have a contract with Energy Harbor. We do not benefit from these contracts other than to offer savings for our residents.

Go to our Township website for more information @ mariontwp.org and click on "Communications". A chart will show you our current "fixed price" of 4.85cents per kwh.

The Energy Harbor number is: 1-866-636-3749 that you can call to enroll. They will check to see if you are enrolled in the Township Aggregation or not. They will help you enroll if you are not.
