This page promoting the concept of a State of Southern Illinois has been on line for over two years and has only 4,633likes. For a State of Southern Illinois to become a serious movement we will need to have 200,000 likes on this page. If you are serious about Southern Illinois actually becoming a sovereign State help promote the concept.
It is far to early to worry about details such as where the northern boundary will be located or where will the new capitol be. That will be determine by vote of the people when the time comes.
Forming a new State is a slow and deliberate process. It cannot be a reaction to current political conditions. An anti-Chicago sentiment or anti-Springfield sentiment is not constructive in this process. What is needed is a clear headed, unemotional determined approach.
