Today was our second annual MDDSN Family & Friends Day, and lemme tell ya, if you weren’t there you missed a wonderful day!! There was food, games, laughs, smiles, popcorn, bingo, a fake tattoo booth, and even a fun and friendly game of kick ball!! New friendships were made, getting to meet co-worker’s family members that you hear about all the time, and getting to show your own family and friends the wonderful people you get to share your workday with, consumers and staff! It truly felt like being at a fun family reunion, and that’s what we are at MDDSN - we’re family!

Congratulations to House Manager Hope Fryson for winning the trivia question drawing in March’s Payroll/ Benefits newsletter!! Hope had to submit the winning answer and then win the drawing. Here she is with her basket of goodies and with Payroll/Benefits Coordinator Lisa Douglas who puts the monthly newsletter out. Congratulations, Hope!!!!

In the month of March 2026, our agency held a social media contest for our consumers and staff to participate in! The winner of the contest would be the staff and consumers who sent to to me THE MOST (quality) contributions of videos, photos, etc. to be posted to our various social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok). If you keep up with us at all you will not be surprised to know that staff Tonya Moore is our March Social Media Contest winner along with the consumers in the photos below!!! By submitting items to me, Tonya won herself a $25 gift card AND an all-expenses paid outing for herself and her consumers!! (I think they are doing dinner and a movie, and YES we will be sure to share plenty of photos!!) Congratulations to Tonya and her group, and thank you to all who participated!!

Family & Friends Day!!! Here are photos of the menus and food trucks that will be on the premises tomorrow. Amanda’s lemonade truck will also be on the premises. The Marion Center will be selling popcorn as a fundraiser. See you there!!

A blast was had by all who participated in the “Marion Egg-cellent Staff Day” yesterday at our Marion Center. This has become an annual event run by our very own, Case Manager Angela Godbold. There were winners for the most eggs found with Susan Fling placing first, Tammie Hill placing second, and Cathern Roberts coming in at third. There were also special golden eggs. Thanks to Angela for this fun event!!

DON’T FORGET OUR FAMILY & FRIENDS FUN DAY THIS THURSDAY AT THE MARION CENTER FROM 9 AM TO 1 PM!!! Be there or be square!!

Come out and enjoy the fun and camaraderie at our Family & Friends Day! This was a huge hit last year! Good food, fun games, and prizes!

Our Kind Ticket winners were awarded today at our Marion Center. When the consumers are “Caught Being Kind” they receive a kind ticket at the day program as well as at the residential home.

Overall, the Kind Ticket Challenge has led to a more pleasant and productive environment for both staff and consumers💕

Thanks to our Marion Center Behavioral Analyst Jay Cole for coming up with this great idea!

Oh yeah! The eggs were filled with money and candy! Thanks to all who donated.
