🚨 BREAKING NEWS: HEROES AMONG US 🚨

Today, in the depths of MCC E911, while the rest of us simply sat in chairs and observed, true acts of bravery unfolded before our very eyes.

Exhibit A:
A man fearlessly crawling under desks…
Entering a realm of tangled cords, lost pens, and things we dropped in 2017 and never retrieved.

Exhibit B:
A supervisor standing watch above…
Providing moral support, critical oversight, and occasional deep thoughts while holding a phone like the fate of the entire operation depended on it.

Together, they faced:
• Dust bunnies of unknown origin
• Wires that absolutely do not belong to anything we own
• The terrifying possibility of unplugging “the wrong thing”

And yet…
They persevered.

Because of their sacrifice, their courage, and their willingness to risk it all under that desk…
✨ WE NOW HAVE COMPUTER MONITORS ✨

Let us take a moment to appreciate:
The dedication.
The teamwork.
The commitment to crawling into places no one wants to go.

We may never fully understand the complexity of what happened here today…
But we do know this:

Not all heroes wear capes.
Some wear uniforms and crawl under dispatch desks.

👏👏👏
Bobby West & Paul Beard MCC E911 Thanks you for your hard work!!

🎉 Happy Birthday, 911! 🎂📞

Today, February 16, 2026, we recognize a historic moment in public safety. On this date in 1968, the very first 911 call was placed at the Haleyville Police Station in Haleyville, Alabama — launching a system that would go on to save countless lives across the nation.

For 58 years, 911 has been more than just three numbers. It has been a lifeline in moments of crisis and uncertainty.

And behind every call is a calm, steady voice ready to help.

To our dedicated Public Safety Telecommunicators — the calm in the chaos, the steady voice in the storm, the lifeline when seconds matter most — thank you for what you do each and every day.

WATER SERVICE DISRUPTED
SALEM, Ky. - Customers of Crittenden-Livingston Water District experienced low water pressure and outages Saturday morning after a major water line break along U.S. 641 south of Marion.

District officials reported a 12-inch main break that has affected water volume in the Wilson Hill water tank above Marion. Crews were dispatched and began repairs shortly after the break was identified.

The district said water service will be restored as soon as possible. Customers may continue to experience low pressure or temporary loss of service while repairs are underway.
