Smyth County voted 4-0 on their data center ordinance last night.... where was the rest of the board for this important vote?
Smyth Co, Va - Board of Supervisors vote to amend ordinance to allow data centers in the county. With 3 members absent there was barely enough members present to have a quorum, the vote passed 4-0. Members continually commented that the ordinance could be changed later. The public was in strong opposition to the measure, particularly with the absent board members.
