The Multi-County Correctional Center is now hiring and seeking qualified candidates for CORRECTION OFFICER positions

Pay scale and benefits:

• Probationary (starting wage): $22.57
Wage after 3 years of service: $27.32

• Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance after 30-60 days of
employment

• Two weeks of vacation after one year of service

• Ohio Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association Labor Union

• Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS)

Below are some of the requirements:

• Have a Highschool diploma or GED

• Have no felony convictions

• Pass a background check that includes a review of your
criminal and work history

• Pass a lie detection exam and drug screening

• Have a valid Ohio driver license

Today was an exciting day at the Multi-County Correctional Center as we officially launched the National Sheriffs’ Association’s IGNITE Program!

MCCC is proud to be the 41st jail in the nation to launch IGNITE, an initiative that provides incarcerated individuals with education, programming, resources, and opportunities to support successful reentry.

We are grateful to the many community partners who joined us today and continue to support our mission. Through these partnerships, we provide meaningful resources that help individuals build skills, overcome barriers, and prepare for a successful return to their families and communities.

Our goal is simple: to help individuals leave MCCC better prepared for success than when they arrived.

Thank you to the National Sheriffs’ Association, our sheriffs, staff, community partners, and everyone who helped make today’s launch possible. We are excited about what IGNITE will bring to MCCC and the communities we serve!

Special thank you to Trumbull County, Wood County, Summit County, Sandusky County, and Washington County for coming & giving insight on how their IGNITE program has significantly impacted those re-entering their communities! We appreciate your stories and words of encouragement today ☺️

Congratulations to Michele Miley on receiving the Spero Health Core Value Award! 🎉

Michele serves as the Substance Abuse Counselor at the Multi-County Correctional Center, where she works tirelessly each day to support individuals on their recovery journey and help create opportunities for lasting change.

She was recently surprised by her Spero Health colleagues and community partners during a special celebration recognizing her dedication, compassion, and commitment to serving others. This award is a testament to the positive impact she makes on the lives of those we serve and the strong partnerships that help make recovery possible.
