Duffy and Donna Nast were a huge part of the Emergency Rescue Squad for over 47 years. Many of us had the honor and privilege of volunteering alongside them and getting to know and love this amazing couple. Duffy was a member of the Rescue Squad and Donna was member of the woman’s auxiliary. They were a couple that spent their lives doing so much for others. Our world was extremely blessed and touched by the Nast’s. They are both departed and united in heaven ….

Donna Nast, 81, Marinette, WI, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at home surrounded by family from complications from diabetes. She was born January 27, 1945 to late Frank and Agnes ( Mlnarik ) Jenkins.

Donna graduated from Marinette High School in 1963. She then worked at Ansul, where she met her husband Jerome (Duffy) Nast. They married on May 1,1965 and enjoyed a life together for 56 years. He preceded her in death December 28, 2021.

Donna enjoyed being a stay at home mom for many years, then was hired by McDonalds, where she became store manager; she loved working with the whole team especially the high school kids. Following a brief retirement from McDonalds, she took a receptionist position at H&R Block. For several seasons, she tapped into her genuine welcoming personality.

Donna was over the moon proud of her children and grandchildren. She filled their visits with fun activities and special one on one time. She was always in contact and interested in their lives. She was an advocate for personal contact, checking in on others or sending a card!

Even after the devastating loss of her daughter Katie in September 2020, she found joy in her neighborhood squirrels, hosting Bunco, the Brewers (her man Brice Turang), but especially: baking! Baking was her therapy and passion, sharing all her goods with friends and family.

Donna is survived by children Lisa (Robert) Magnin of Appleton, David ( Trisha) Nast of Sobeiski, grandchildren Ellen, Benjamin (Amber) and Daniel, two sisters in law Joan Hass and Judy Huffman, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome (Duffy), parents, grandparents, her daughter Katie, father and mother in law William and Anna Nast, sisters Doris Larrick and Elaine Powell, and several in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Heartfelt gratitude goes out to Deanna Nast and Nurse Nicole, along with the entire amazing staff at Unity Hospice, for allowing us to honor Donna’s last request to remain at home. Special thanks go out to all the wonderful neighbors and friends who we always there to check in, give rides, and offer support through the years.

Per Donna’s wishes, private memorial services were held.

In honor of Donna’s memory, call or visit a friend, and if you’re able, bring along a plate of cookies.
