Exciting news for our students! Olson PTA will open their Penguin Patch Holiday Shop on Monday, December 9th! Our Orcas are able to purchase gifts for family and friends and surprise their loved ones. We encourage you to sit down with your students and make a list of who to shop for and add a budget, items are from 25 cents up to $15. Students will shop with their classes during school hours.

We are so proud of our student council and class reps. They patiently waited tonight to address the MPUSD district board and did Olson proud. This group of committed students under the guidance of some amazing teachers and with the support of our principal have done amazing things this school year. The board was touched by their presentation and said it gave them new energy to continue their very serious work! Thank you, all!

Olson PTA is hosting our annual Holiday Shop from Dec. 4th though 8th. A place where our students can shop for family members at reasonable prices ($0.25-$12) during school hours. Our teachers are currently signing up for time slots to take their class to this magical shop. I encourage you to make a list with your child (a list envelope will go out at the end of this week) and write down the names of family members they are shopping for so the volunteers at the Penguin Patch can assist them in budgeting correctly. If you would like to be close by, the Penguin Patch will be open on Wednesday after school lets out.
