April is Arts Month in LA County 🎨

Per a motion authored by Chair Hilda L. Solis and adopted by the LA County Board of Supervisors , this year marks 10 years of the Cultural Equity and Inclusion Initiative (CEII)—helping make arts and culture more accessible, inclusive, and reflective of every community across the County.

Since 2015, CEII has expanded arts programs, supported community organizations, and brought creativity into County work in new ways.

🌊 At Beaches & Harbors, we see our coastline as more than a destination—it’s a place where culture, community, and connection come together. 🌊

Celebrate Arts Month by exploring free and low-cost experiences across LA County , including free admission hours at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County .

Bring your household hazardous and electronic waste the free drive-thru collection event on Saturday, March 28th, 9 AM - 3 PM, at the Dock 52 parking lot in Marina del Rey.

Open to LA County residents. No business waste accepted. Limit of 15 gallons of 125 pounds or hazardous waste per trip.

✨ The Department of Beaches and Harbors is seeking a qualified and experienced contractor to provide armed and unarmed event staff security guard services to patrol outdoor public places managed by the County including, but not limited to Marina del Rey, Dockweiler, and White Point/Royal Palms Beach, as well as provide crowd control services for Department’s special events in Marina del Rey and County owned and managed beaches.

This FREE, family-friendly event features 40 local and out-of-state dragon boat teams racing to claim the title of fastest on the water. Cheer on paddlers ages 12 to 80, enjoy live entertainment, explore arts and crafts, and grab a bite from ✨
