Marin is a place of distinction. The charitable and charming. The passionate and the powerful. Residents of Marin believe in heaven…because it’s where they already get their mail delivered. It’s the best county

in California and thus, by unequivocal default, the greatest county in America. And since it's the best, making it here means you can make it anywhere. Sorry NYC! ☹ What you do for boroughs, we do for counties. It may seem like nirvana. It may seem like the burbs. It may seem like a place of distinction. It may seem that way…and if it does…it alludes to the fact you have never been there. You haven’t mauled in Mill Valley. You haven’t survived in Sausalito. You haven’t fought in Fairfax.

The Meanest Street in Marin: Sir Frances Drake Blvd

Maybe the longest and most prominent street in the county has to be Sir Frances Drake. A prison on one end and a lighthouse on the other. Point Reyes, Seahaven, Inverness, Tomales Bay, all in the GGNRA. Winding through the toughest towns like Greenbrae, Ross and Kent. Ocean and oyster beds live on one end and a ferry landing on the other end. While it doesn’t quite split the county in half geographically, it does with population. A Marin Mason-Dixon and thus the inaugural Meanest Street in the Marin.

Literally littered. The county is so focused on education, the parks are littered with pencils and crayons.
