THE POWER IS IN OUR HANDS, GEORGIA!
Keisha Lance Bottoms, Georgia's Democratic nominee for governor, carried 158 of 159 counties by nearly 150,000 votes in the primary election. She criticizes Republicans for backing policies that raise costs and threaten health care access, pointing to hospital closures from the state's refusal to expand Medicaid. Bottoms' priorities include expanding Medicaid on day one, lowering housing costs while cracking down on corporate landlords, funding universal pre-K, raising teacher salaries, eliminating state income tax for teachers, creating free technical/community college pathways, supporting small businesses, and protecting voting rights. She urges Georgians to vote up and down the ballot through November.
