Grandparenthood doesn’t always come with one title, one story, or even one family tree. ❤️

Some grandparents are connected by birth, some by marriage or circumstance, and some simply step into the role—offering the wisdom, encouragement, stories, and steady presence that make grandparenthood so special.

This National Grandparents Day, Phoenix Senior Living celebrates what may just be society’s original intergenerational program: grandparenthood.

There is incredible value when generations come together—wisdom is shared, traditions are carried forward, perspective is gained, and both generations are reminded they have something meaningful to give one another.

This week at Pearl has been nothing short of fantastic! Our residents have been keeping busy with a delightful array of activities. We enjoyed delicious strawberry shortcakes that brought smiles and sweet memories. Fresh bell peppers popped up in our garden! The musical entertainment truly lifted everyone's spirits, filling our space with joy and laughter. And let’s not forget the great social hours that provided opportunities to connect and share stories with friends new and old. It's moments like these that remind us of the vibrant community we share!

This September, Phoenix Senior Living communities are coming together for a special PSL Pays It Forward project in partnership with Atlanta Mission—and we’re inviting our families, friends, associates and community partners to join us!

Throughout the month, we’re hosting a Refurnish Project Drive benefiting My Sister’s House, Atlanta Mission’s shelter serving women and children as they work toward stability, independence and a fresh start.

Using the QR code on the attached flyer, you can purchase items from our curated wish list to help us refresh and renovate living spaces at My Sister’s House.

Even better? Every item purchased will be shipped directly to Atlanta Mission, and in October, members of the PSL Home Office team will roll up their sleeves and personally help install the items and transform these spaces.

At Phoenix Senior Living, we believe a safe, welcoming space can be an important part of beginning again—and together, we have an opportunity to create just that.

This week, our ladies knitting circle came together for a heartwarming project! We had the wonderful opportunity to sew some prayer cards for our first responders and anyone who might be feeling under the weather. Each card is filled with love, compassion, and uplifting messages, reminding them that they are never alone in their struggles. It's incredible how a small gesture can spread so much positivity. We hope these cards bring comfort and warmth to those who need it most. Grateful for our community and the chance to make a difference! 💖✨

Everyone, meet Diana! Born in West Virginia and raised in a small town on the Ohio River, Diana is the second oldest of four. She married her HS sweetheart, Dave, and together they started a family.
As a single mom, Diana showcased her determination by putting herself through college—making history as the first in her family to earn a degree from Rio Grande College in Southeastern Ohio. Her pride swells knowing both of her sons graduated college, and with granddaughters on the path to education, the legacy continues!
With a dedicated teaching career 40+ years across Ohio and Florida, Diana's love for education knows no bounds. After retiring, she even dabbled in substitute teaching! Growing up in a family that owned a movie theater fanned her passion for films, and she also loves music and dancing!
With a knack for decorating and fixing up homes, she has also owned an impressive selection of properties, including a stunning weekend getaway condo on Ft. Myers Beach. Her early driving days included a brand-new Ford Galaxie 500 convertible that she was very proud of! We are so happy to have Diana to hum sweet songs to us every day.

Today was such a delight! We kicked off the morning by getting dolled up for a stunning fashion show. Staff and residents alike ripped the runway this morning! A huge thank you to Magda Brady with Mary Kay for the fabulous makeovers that made our supermodels shine! The outfits, purses, and accessories from Tara at Diva Style Boutique took everything to the next level. We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Gentiva Hospice for sponsoring this amazing event. It truly feels good to look good and celebrate in style! 💖✨
