So clean out your stash of your unwanted yarn and supplies, bring a skein to donate, and swap it for a skein you need.

If you have unused skeins of yarn, crochet hooks, or knitting needles that you would like to donate to keep the swap going, please bring them to West Cobb Library anytime during business hours.

Did Code Enforcement remove my sign?
Code Enforcement officers remove approximately 17,000 signs from the public right-of-way annually.

The Temporary Sign code allows placement of signage on private property for events such as elections, church or community gatherings, yard sales, and rental or sale of individual homes. Signage should not be placed in medians, trees, utility poles, or traffic control signs or devices. All temporary signage must be located on private property with the property owner’s permission.

🎒📚 The Cobb County Sheriff's Office FREE Back-to-School Bash is back on July 25 at Jim R. Miller Park!

From 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. families can enjoy free school supplies, community resources, fun activities for kids and teens, inflatables, crafts, educator supplies, and more.

Last year over 2,900 families came out. We'd love to see even more this year.

The holiday celebrates the date in 1865 when the Union army finally freed the last enslaved African Americans held in Confederate states. If you are supporting a child who has experienced sexual abuse, you don't have to do it alone. The Cobb County District Attorney's Office is hosting an 8-week healing circle for caregivers called Hearts of Hope. It is a safe space to connect with others, share experiences, and find the resources and support you need.

The meetings will take place every Monday from 6 - 7 p.m. from June 22 - Aug. 10. at 277 SE Fairground Street.

Heavy rainfall and strong to severe thunderstorms are expected Thursday and Friday as the remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur move into the state. Heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding, especially late Thursday into Friday morning. 2 to 4 inches of rain are forecast within the watch area, with locally higher amounts possible.
