Yesterday we wrapped up the Emergency Medical Responder class with a day of skills testing. Thirteen volunteer firefighters completed nearly 80 hours of instruction and hands on training in the last two months. This class and the current Firefighter 1 course taking place are the biggest advancements in training and preparation for FDLC in over a decade. We want to recognize the departments that sent their members to the class:
Criner Hills Volunteer Fire Dept.
Enville Volunteer Fire Department
Falconhead/ Red River Volunteer Fire Department
Jimtown Volunteer Fire Department
Thackerville Volunteer Fire Department
And from Carter County:
Dickson Fire Department, Dickson Oklahoma

We want to take a moment and congratulate all those that took this class. Its a huge boost in the level of service we are able to provide for our area. We also would like to especially congratulate the three members of our department that took this course.

Folks have your emergency plan ready and multiple ways to receive alerts. Be weather aware any storms that fire will grow quickly and become dangerous just as fast. Be prepared not scared.

Big time heads up : Dangerous strong to violent tornadoes possible all of S-Central- S OK. This Sat pm 4-25-26. Be very aware. Ada - Davis - Pauls Valley Shawnee - Ardmore - Lake Texoma- Durant and all surrounding areas. Could be rain wrapped. Additionally, hail up to softball 🥎 size possible along with 80 + mph gusts. Dangerous situation possible later today. 4p -11p. Be weather aware!

Here at Enville Volunteer Fire Department, we would like to bring recognition to our roots. Without the generous donation of the land our fire department sits on, we wouldn't have the department you all know & support today. We would like to thank Phillip & Yvone McGinnis, as well as their family, & recognize them for their unwavering support for our Department. We got the new plaque hung up today in honor of them.

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Red Flag Warning for dry and breeze weather and an extremely favorable fuel environment, which is in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* WINDS...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 12 to 18 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Up to 73.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* SEVERITY...

FUELS (ERC)...70th-89th percentile...4 (out of 5).

WEATHER...Elevated...2 (out of 5).

FIRE ENVIRONMENT...6 (out of 10).

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
