The Historic Marietta Square and Glover Park is the site of the Art in the Park Festival held each Labor Day weekend, Saturday-Monday. This fine art extravaganza features an artist market, children’s art alley and an artist demonstration area and the famous Painted Pots. It has been selected by Southeast Tourism Society as a Top 20 event since 2007 and is a Kaleidoscope Award winner from the Southeast Festivals and Events Association. Art displayed will include paintings, photography, pottery, graphic arts, sculptures, jewelry, woodworking from 175 of the countries finest artists. Festival guests will also have the opportunity to visit the unique shops and boutiques, restaurants, museums and galleries, take in a historic walking tour plus much more, all within walking distance to the festival. The festival is free with plenty of parking on the street and in the Cobb County Park Deck. The festival proceeds provide support to the Marietta Business Association who promote local businesses and keep local commerce active.

From the artists who filled Marietta Square with incredible work, to the sponsors, volunteers and partners who helped make it all possible — and every single person who came out to stroll, shop, create and celebrate with us — THANK YOU.

For 40 years, Art in the Park has brought art, people and community together in the heart of Marietta, and this anniversary weekend was one we won’t soon forget.

Art in the Park looked a little different.
What began with just one street and roughly 20 artists has grown into a Labor Day weekend tradition that fills Historic Marietta Square with art, creativity and community.
Forty years later, we’re still doing what this festival set out to do: bringing artists and art lovers together in the heart of Marietta.
To every artist, volunteer, sponsor, business, visitor and neighbor who has been part of this story — thank you for helping Art in the Park grow.
