Made it out to the annual Love County Angel Tree chili cook-off and dessert auction.

A huge turnout and a lot of generosity was happening in the fair building tonight. Thanks to everyone who came out to support some of the children in the Love County community. Without this program there are children who wouldn’t get a Christmas. Shout out to Leann Hart and her crew for all of the work they put into this program every year!

Over the past several months I have given you all plenty of information and qualifications for why I feel I am best suited to be Sheriff in Love County. I think an added step of keeping you guys informed is for you to hear from other community members and job specific professionals and what they think of me and the job that I do.

Over the next few weeks leading up to the Election on June 18th I will be posting Campaign Endorsements that I have received along the way.

Huge turnout for the Criner Hills VFD fundraiser this evening!

My wife and I were honored to be able to support the hard working men and women at Criner Hills and even got to see one of my campaign supporters Josh Cantrell who represents District 49 as a State Representative!

Some other dignitaries present in support were Commissioner Rushing, Senator Jerry Alvord, Representative Pevehouse, and Sheriff Chris Bryant from Carter County.

It was truly humbling to see so many brave the rain in support of the Fire Department and the food was delicious!

It is my honor to be able to work alongside each of you as Sheriff of Love County! 👨‍🚒👮🏻‍♂️

A huge thank you to Holly, Weston, and Lenny and their entire family for their support of my campaign and for allowing me to put my banner on their property to advertise.

Not all business owners would be so public about their support for a political candidate (which is understandable) but not them! They are proud to support my campaign and are proud of the hard work the men and women under my administration have put in to making our County a great place to own a business and raise a Family!

Don’t forget to Vote for proven excellence and commitment June 18th!!

‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️PLEASE HELP‼️‼️‼️‼️

I believe that the Sheriff of a County shouldn’t be in the position based off of popularity. I think a Sheriff should be in the position because he/she truly cares about public safety and the citizens of the County and I can safely say that public safety is why I got into law enforcement in the first place. I never really wanted to be a “politician” I just wanted to protect my friends and neighbors from harm and keep the community safe for folks to raise their kids in. I understand that the position is technically “political” but I hope you all understand that I never let politics affect any decision that is made as it relates to public safety.

With that being said I have asked around to I can’t even count how many citizens of Love County to gauge where their support falls as it pertains to the upcoming Sheriff’s election and I couldn’t have imagined how much support I have from you all. I have been trying to locate anyone who might be leaning towards voting for my opponent, so that I might have an opportunity to sit down with them one on one and see where our Office may have fallen short for them, in hopes of doing better and adjusting policy and/or procedure so that we retain the support of all of the citizens of Love County. Public support is on the top of my priority list because without the citizens of our county supporting our efforts we could never be as successful as we are.

I have never claimed to be perfect at anything and I make mistakes the same as anyone else. But I constantly try and correct those mistakes to be a better Sheriff and overall human! I take criticism well and I welcome it (I can’t change anything or be better if I don’t know what the concerns/problems are). No I am not a subject matter expert at being Sheriff. I constantly learn new things every day, but I have a network of partner Sheriff’s who have been doing this job all across the country who I can seek guidance from when faced with difficult situations. Honestly I don’t think a single Sheriff in the state would tell you they know everything there is to know about being Sheriff. I CAN say that when I am elected in June I can continue what I am already doing without the need for any training. My administration is already doing a great job for the County and there would be no lapse in service that there would be should my opponent win the election.

Could you all please share this post in the hopes that if there is anyone who may be thinking of voting for my opponent they can reach out to me and hopefully we can have an honest conversation about their problems/concerns before making such an important decision come election time in June. Maybe there isn’t anything I can do to gain their support, but I’d at least like the opportunity to try.

Attended the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the board of directors for the Enville Fire Department this evening.

I am in my 2nd year as a board member for the fire department in the district that I live in and this is my way of giving a little bit of my time back to my community outside of being Sheriff!

Our primary responsibility as the board of directors is to oversee the financials for the Fire Department as well as review the fire Chiefs report for the previous month and make decisions that will better the fire department and provide better public safety for the citizens.

In the last 2 years as a member of the board I have gotten to know the other members of the board on a more personal level and I have gained their trust, respect, and support.

It is my honor to volunteer as a board member for the Enville Fire District and I look forward to being able to serve on the board for years to come.
