During National EMS Week 2026, we want to recognize the EMS providers who answer the call day and night to serve our community with compassion, professionalism, and teamwork. As a combination fire and EMS department, medical calls make up a large part of what we do. From lift assists and illness calls to serious trauma and cardiac emergencies, our members are committed to helping others during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
Many people see the fire trucks and lights, but may not realize the amount of EMS training, education, and dedication that goes on behind the scenes. Our volunteers spend countless hours training and preparing so they are ready when the pager drops — whether it’s 2pm or 2am.
This week, we also want to thank the families, employers, dispatchers, nurses, law enforcement, hospital staff, and surrounding departments who support us and work alongside us every day. It truly takes a team.
We are proud of every member who answers the call, puts the uniform on, and serves this community with heart.
Interested in making a difference? You don’t have to be a firefighter to help your community. EMS and volunteer opportunities are always available for those willing to learn, serve, and be part of something bigger than themselves.
Thank you to EMS providers everywhere this week — especially our own. ❤️🚑🔥
