We still have a pyrex container (that held pita chips), a ziplock container, and a slotted spoon. Please let us know if you belong to any of them. Also, one of our neighbors lost a garden shovel sometime during the party. Did you happen to see it? Thanks!

Thanks to the generous businesses in our neighborhood, prize donations for our raffle are rolling in. Prizes include gift certificates from Marco's Pizza, The Villager, Pizzelii, 50 West (along with a gift basket!), The Sweeterie, and Mango Tree, along with a 2015 family pass to the Mariemont pool (an over-$300 value!). Kroger and Frisch's are also generously donating food. Raffle tickets will be $1, or 6 for $5, and all proceeds will be used for next year's block party. You don't need to be present to win, but we certainly hope that you'll stick around:)

We will be having a block party planning meeting at 7pm next Tuesday (the 9th) in council chambers (in the administration building with the fire/police stations). We would love for you to be there!

This year's historic district block party, for residents on Beech, Chestnut, Elm, Maple, Murray, Oak, and Plainville, is going to be on Saturday, September 20th, from 4pm until 8pm (or later!). Bring your favorite chili recipe (we'll have a place to plug in crock pots), OR a side dish (last names ending in A-M) or dessert (last names ending in N-Z). We'll have sodas available, or BYOB in non-glass containers. Please drink responsibly:)

Update: Thanks to a generous donation from the Civic Association, we will now be having grilled burgers and hot dogs IN ADDITION TO chili. Cheese coneys, anyone?

Also, our fire department will be paying a visit, so the kids can check out the truck and hang out with our firefighters!

Hello neighbors - we hope you are getting excited for Saturday! We sure are! We noticed that the Mayor's Bulletin mentioned we are preparing hot dogs and hamburgers. This is incorrect - we are making chilli! You are welcome to make some, too. Or - if your last name begins with A-M, feel free to bring a side dish. If your last name begins with N-Z, please feel free to bring a dessert.
