👔🚗 Thanks to everyone who joined us for today’s Dad’s Day Celebration at the Maricopa Community Center!
Guests enjoyed a car show, hot dogs, the world’s greatest “pop”corn, door prize drawings throughout the event, and a special presentation by Bill Luther on the Petersen Automotive Museum.
It was a great afternoon of connecting with neighbors, sharing stories, and celebrating the fathers and father figures who make a difference in our community every day.
With Father’s Day coming up this Sunday, we were proud to celebrate them a little early. 🎉

The Mayor and six City Council members are the only elected officials in the municipality. The Mayor and City Council members serve four-year terms. The Mayor and City Council members are elected at large on a nonpartisan ballot. The City Council is elected on a rotating basis, so three seats are up for election every two years. The Mayor is elected every four years. There are no term limits for the Mayor or City Council members. The City Council is responsible for setting public policy, approving the City's annual budget, entering agreements, providing executive leadership, making planning and development decisions, and adopting new codes and ordinances.
