🚨 LOST FOSTER PUPPY – MARFA 🚨

Black Eyed Bean (“Pepper”), a 3-month-old black Chihuahua mix puppy, escaped around 8:00 a.m. from the North Gonzales Street area, approximately one block from Marfa Elementary School.

Pepper is a friendly male puppy currently being fostered through One Tail at a Time while awaiting adoption.

If you have seen him, picked him up, or have any information on his whereabouts, please contact the Presidio County Sheriff's Office as soon as possible, 432-729-4308.

PRESIDIO, TEXAS - Burglary of a Habitation Investigation

Presidio County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 40-year-old Raul Ramos Zuniga of Ojinaga, Mexico this evening on charges of burglary of a habitation. The arrest followed a report from a citizen who discovered missing jewelry and identified Zuniga on surveillance footage inside her bedroom. The video evidence clearly showed Zuniga inside the bedroom without the homeowner's permission.

Zuniga, who had been working as a landscaper on the property, entered the home while the owners were away running errands, taking advantage of their absence.

During the investigation, Sheriff's Deputies uncovered that Zuniga was also a suspect in additional thefts around town. In Texas, burglary of a habitation is classified as a second-degree felony. Zuniga had previously been arrested by the Presidio Police Department for criminal trespass. Zuniga was detained and arrested at the Presidio Port of Entry under an arrest warrant issued by Judge Bishop J.P. Pct 2.

Tanner Update 🐾

Tanner's DNA test is officially on the way! 🧬

We finally decided to solve the mystery of what exactly this little guy is. Current theories include Chihuahua, Rat Terrier, Deer, and possibly Gremlin.

We also ordered the health insights panel, so future adopters will have even more information about Tanner's background and health.

Tanner is still looking for his forever home. He is current on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and scheduled for neuter surgery and booster vaccinations on July 2, 2026. His adoption application is posted on our website. You can find it at the link below:

In the meantime, he continues to enjoy blankets, toys, chicken, cuddles, kisses, walks, and supervising everyone at the Sheriff's Office. ❤️
