Hey Marengo residents! We're in for some rough weather, and a threat for tornadoes. Please take precautions and stay safe.

There is a threat for strong (EF-2+) tornadoes across northern Illinois this afternoon between 4 and 8 PM. The highest threat will be in the dark red shaded area. This area has shifted farther south than previously forecast. Take tornado warnings seriously, and have multiple ways to get warning information today.

Cookies and gratitude!

Last night’s City Council meeting came with an unexpected and very thoughtful surprise.

A Marengo resident stopped in with some Sweet Jems cookies and a heartfelt message of thanks for our council members and staff.

Moments like this remind us how fortunate we are to serve a community that shows such kindness.
