🇺🇸 MICMS Honors the 25th Anniversary of September 11th 🇺🇸

Today, the MICMS Jazz Band had the privilege of performing at the Marco Island Fire Department’s 9/11 Memorial Ceremony, joining our community in marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Our students helped honor the 2,977 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless individuals whose courage, service, and sacrifice continue to define the legacy of that day.

We are incredibly proud of our young musicians for representing MICMS with respect, dignity, and maturity during such a meaningful community event.

Thank you to the Marco Island Fire Department, our local first responders, and everyone who gathered today to ensure that, 25 years later, we continue to remember.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

📣 MICMS Families: PM1 Testing is Coming Up! 🦅

Please mark your calendars for our upcoming Progress Monitoring 1 (PM1) testing dates:

📚 ELA: Tuesday, September 15
➗ Math: Thursday, September 17

These assessments help us understand where students are starting the year, identify areas of strength, and determine where additional support may be helpful.

Families can help students prepare by making sure they:

✅ Get a good night’s sleep
✅ Eat a healthy breakfast
✅ Arrive at school on time
✅ Bring their charged Chromebook
✅ Come ready to do their best!

☕🦅 Coffee with the Principal was a wonderful success!

Thank you to all of the MICMS families who joined us yesterday for a relaxed morning of coffee, conversation, and connection with our Principal.

It was great to see members of our school community come together, ask questions, share ideas, and get to know one another a little better.
