We are placing another order for benches on main street. We have been fortunate to be able to get 22 benches replaced already but there are 7 benches remaining that need replaced:
4 - 6 Ft. - $950 each
3 - 4 Ft. - $750 each
If you are interested in donating one or would like to honor a family member, school class, business or organization please email Lindsey Ewigman at [email protected]

This week, I took a stroll down Main Street and couldn't help but smile. 🌼☀️

The storefront windows are bright and welcoming, the flowers are blooming beautifully, and everywhere you look there are little reminders that summer has officially arrived in Downtown Marceline.

These beautiful displays don't happen by accident. They are the result of local business owners who invest their time, creativity, and resources into making our downtown a place we're proud to call home. Their efforts help create the charm, character, and welcoming atmosphere that residents and visitors enjoy every day.

As you make your summer plans, consider shopping, dining, and supporting local whenever you can. Every purchase, meal, and visit helps strengthen the businesses that make our downtown vibrant and unique.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our downtown businesses for everything you do to keep Main Street beautiful and thriving. We appreciate you! ❤️

I have a small favor to ask of our amazing Downtown Marceline community. ❤️ I was honored to be nominated for RMB's Community Champion, and if I finish in the top 3, a cash prize will be awarded to the nonprofit organization of my choice. Of course, I chose Downtown Marceline! Right now, I'm only a few votes away from 3rd place, which would mean $100 for projects, events, and initiatives that help make our downtown such a special place.
Being nominated is incredibly meaningful to me. I’m fortunate to spend my days working alongside so many wonderful volunteers, business owners, and community members who care deeply about Marceline. The opportunity to help grow and celebrate our downtown is something I truly cherish.
If you'd be willing to take a moment to vote, I would be so grateful. Every vote helps, and every dollar earned goes right back into supporting our downtown community.
Thank you for your continued support of Downtown Marceline and everything that makes our town so special! ❤️

We have had an overwhelming response to our Veteran Pole Banner Program, and we are so grateful for the incredible support from our community!

Due to the popularity of these banner programs across the country during America’s 250th Birthday celebration, our banner manufacturer is experiencing an extremely high volume of orders. While our order has already been placed, production is taking a little longer than originally expected.

The good news — they are working very hard to get our banners completed and delivered before the 4th of July. 🇺🇸

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through this delay. Seeing our downtown lined with banners honoring local veterans will be well worth the wait, and we cannot wait to share them with the community.

Thanks to all who attended the Community-Based Tourism Workshop last week. Samantha Bray got about 30 of us thinking & talking about what Marceline could look like in 2040! When we have a summary of of our ideas we'll share it.
Thanks, Marceline Area Chamber of Commerce, for co-sponsoring with us.

Life throws a curveball sometimes but we hope to see you at the presentation on Wednesday, 6-8pm at Walsworth Community Center!

‼️UPDATE from Samantha‼️We can't wait for the community-based tourism workshops for our wider community this week. Unfortunately, our guest speaker, Jonathan Tourtellot's, wife has suffered a medical emergency, and Jonathan must stay in Virginia to care for her at this time. We are sending lots of prayers and love their way. ❤️

Here in northern Missouri, the show must go on. The workshops in Marceline (May 6) and Macon (May 7) will proceed as planned, and I'll just get to share a bit more with you from my perspective growing up in this area and then going on to make a career in community-based and sustainable tourism, having worked with Jonathan for the last 15 years. If the fates align, he's very open to Zooming in with us for a few minutes.

Though hosted in Macon and Marceline, these workshops are open to ALL in the surrounding area. We look forward to seeing you this week! Please bring your friends! Get the details in the workshop event pages:

Loved to see so many people in the park and exploring Main Street today at the Marceline Car show and spring festival!
We had so many stunning cars and great vendors. Andrew was able to do a few book signings while he was in town. If you haven’t been able to grab yours yet, All Roads Lead to Marceline is available at magnolia and Market on Main. We also have a few copies left of our Marceline coloring and activity book. Dont miss out!
