FYI - Marblehead Lighthouse State Park tours are in full swing for summer. There's also a free concert on Saturday by the Lake Plains Chorus at 3 pm. It'll be a great day to visit the village.

FYI... Danbury Township, Ohio annual township-wide clean-up for township and village residents is coming up, June 23–27. A dumpster will be available behind Danbury Township Hall (5972 E. Port Clinton Eastern Road) for drop-off during the following hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. More details below at the website!

1800s Marblehead looked a "wee" bit different! Thanks to Randall Suchy for sharing this photo: "Watering livestock along the Marblehead shore c. late 1800s. This location is near where the U.S. Coast Guard station now stands near what would become James Park." So much history in and around the village!

Have you noticed the flowers popping up around Marblehead? You can thank a great group of volunteers for that! Last week, Linda Twarek, Angela Hendricks, Judy Indorf, and Linda Merckens planted flowers in containers and beds throughout the village, while Paul Sowers helped Parks Supervisor Sean Gilson distribute the containers around town.

Thank you to everyone who helps keep Marblehead looking its best for residents and visitors alike!

The Main Street Outdoor Refreshment Area (MORA) officially kicks off this Memorial Day weekend in the village. Visitors can enjoy beverages purchased in designated MORA cups while strolling along Main Street within the marked boundaries. Be sure to watch for signage (as shown below) throughout the designated area (Main Street (SR 163) from Clemons Street to Gilbert Street).

Marblehead is honored to host this year’s Memorial Day observance on Monday, May 25. Participants will include representatives from the village, Danbury Township, Ohio and Lakeside Chautauqua as well as American Legion Post 555 and Marblehead VFW Post 7572 & Auxiliary. Time and location below!
